Nowland Associates was contracted by St. Andrew’s School to coordinate construction for the major renovation of the historic Irene DuPont Library.
Large openings were cut through existing masonry walls and floors to allow an abundance of natural light to flood the space.
Book stacks were relocated, new railings installed on the upper story, and all interior finishes were provided.
Also, the building’s mechanical and electrical systems were upgraded to provide more efficient climate control and new lighting systems installed allowing the library to adapt to the ever-changing needs and technological systems.
