This publication production facility was primarily constructed using a steel building system with insulated wall panels. Multiple mezzanines give access to the many levels of the three story high printing press. One of the many unique design and construction challenges stemmed from the stringent requirements of the printing equipment. The press’ extremely tight tolerances meant mounting it on a 10 foot thick concrete pile cap resting on auger cast piles extending 72 feet below the earth’s surface.
