Chateau Bu-De Winery

Project Description

Chateau Bu-De Winery is a state of the art wine making facility overlooking the banks of the Bohemia River, located on the historic Bohemia Manor Farm.

The building was designed within the context of the historic farm property while looking to it’s history for inspiration. While the building appears agricultural in nature, the inside is nothing short of high tech. This specialized, climate controlled facil-ity is home to 19 custom fermentation tanks designed and manufactured in South Africa. Also part of the building’s program is the barrel room necessary for aging the wine, a finished goods storage room, grand foyer for hospitality, an exterior crush pad, laboratory and offices.

The project was designed and built on a fast-track schedule of six months, necessary to be completed in time for the fall harvest.
